Welcome to Granny Walker’s Christmas Puddings, where we share a cherished family tradition that spans over a century. Our story is one steeped in nostalgia and the warm embrace of tradition, just like the cozy, comforting puddings we create.
Our family’s recipe for these delightful Christmas puddings has its roots in the early 1900s. Granny Walker herself, the heart and soul of our kitchen, was raised on a picturesque dairy farm in Kempsey, NSW. The very essence of her childhood is infused into each and every pudding we make.
One of Granny’s fondest memories is of her mother, in their quaint cottage-style home, crafting Christmas puddings in grand batches. Picture it: the air filled with the intoxicating aroma of spices and sweetness as her mother stirred the rich, fruity mixture in a large, rustic bowl. It was a labour of love, a testament to the deep sense of tradition that we continue to honour to this day.
In those days, her mother used to hang numerous cloths filled with freshly prepared puddings from the ceiling, each one securely fastened on meat hooks. But the real charm lay within those delectable puddings. Hidden within the sweet, spiced depths were threepence and sixpences, eagerly anticipated by the family as they enjoyed their Christmas lunch. Finding one of these coins was a stroke of luck, a joyful surprise.
While you won’t find those hidden treasures in our puddings today, we’ve preserved every other aspect of the recipe with great care and devotion. Granny Walker has continued to make these beloved puddings each year, and her culinary expertise has become legendary. She often has a line of enthusiastic family and friends, eagerly waiting to get their hands on a piece of our treasured tradition.
Now, we are thrilled to bring these time-honoured Christmas puddings to everyone, far and wide. With Granny Walker’s Christmas Puddings, you can experience the same rich flavours, the same sense of history, and the same warmth of tradition that has been a part of our family for generations.

About our Family
Our story begins with our beloved matriarch, Granny Walker, who inherited her legendary pudding recipe from her late mother, Alice. This recipe, steeped in history, has been passed down through our family since the early 1900s.
In an effort to share our family’s heritage with a broader audience, Granny Walker generously passed on her invaluable knowledge to her daughter, Michelle, and her granddaughter, Emilly, who, alongside Emilly’s husband, Nathan, play integral roles in bringing Granny Walker’s Christmas Puddings to the wider Australian community.
